Section 09 of 12
Tools & Practices
What we actually pick up and use.
Circle. People in a ring, one voice at a time, a talking piece if needed. The default format for anything that matters.
Check-in / check-out. Every held gathering opens and closes with each person saying where they actually are.
Naming the implicit. When an unspoken agreement is running the room, someone says it out loud so the group can look at it.
The pause. Anyone can call a stop when the pace has outrun the safety. No justification required in the moment.
Clearing. A structured conversation for working through a rupture between two people, with a third holding space if needed.
Feast. Cooking and eating together, treated as a practice rather than a break from practice.
Cold water, fire, forest, movement. Body-first practices for resetting the nervous system, mostly led by our movement practitioners.
